FV432 Mk3 Bulldog

A newly acquired FV432 Bulldog armoured personnel carrier, now part of the museum's growing collection of military vehicles and armour.

The FV432 is a highly recognizable British armoured personnel carrier that has served with distinction in numerous conflict zones around the world. The museum's Bulldog is a restoration project, and the team is working to return this iconic vehicle to a more complete and display-ready condition.

A British Armoured Workhorse

The FV432 was introduced in the 1960s and quickly became one of the mainstay armoured vehicles of the British Army. Its rugged design and reliable performance made it suitable for a wide range of missions, from troop transport and reconnaissance to combat support and urban operations.

The Bulldog upgrade continued the FV432 story into more modern service. Crews valued the platform for its manoeuvrability, versatility, and ability to operate in a wide range of environments.

Restoration Project

When acquired, the museum's Bulldog required restoration work, including the search for an engine pack. Returning the vehicle to operational condition will allow the museum to better tell the story of the Bulldog and educate visitors about the role this vehicle has played in military history.

The restoration project is part of the museum's broader goal to preserve and celebrate the legacy of the FV432 family and honour those who served with these vehicles.
